The CT State Norwalk Makerspace provides access to a variety of tools, equipment, and resources that enable individuals to design, prototype, and bring their ideas to life across various fields such as technology, arts, crafts, engineering, and more.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative individual to join our college makerspace as a Makerspace Intern. The Makerspace Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the makerspace, assisting students and faculty in using the available resources and tools, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment for hands-on learning and creativity.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with and lead workshops on the use of various tools, equipment, and skill sessions in the makerspace

Assist users with the use of tools, equipment, and software in the makerspace

Operate and maintain tools and equipment including 3D printers, laser cutters, vinyl
cutters, sewing machines, etc

Manage tools and supplies, keep makerspace organized and monitor inventory and
consumables

Prepare lab space and equipment for general use and scheduled events

Assist with data entry, attendance, and end of semester reporting on makerspace use

Assist with the creation of flyers and promotional material for workshops and events

Location: CT State Norwalk, West Campus - Suite W124
Compensation
$15/hour
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 12-15 hours per week Reports to: Vladimir Mariano, Makerspace Manager Start Date: Ongoing - New positions filled every semester
